When you click on the Amazon Smile logo when making purchases through Amazon a portion of your purchase will be donated to Veterans for Diversity to help veterans. This is a way to give back while enjoying your purchases from Amazon. Portions of these funds support healing retreats, scholarship programs and helps veterans in many other ways.
 
Twice a year Boston Stores supports non-profits through the sale of coupon booklets in their stores, online and through organizations individual sales. All the money from the sale of these booklets goes directly to the nonprofit organization. The program runs in the fall and spring bringing totals over $1000 for organizations actively involved.
 
Milwaukee Pridefest Board of Directors, in 2016, made a memorial contribution in support of our July retreat. The contribution was made to honor Joe Brehm an US Air Force veteran and community supporter of the Milwaukee area, who was known for always giving back and supportng nonprofits in the local area. The money was used in support of helping veterans with Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) work with issues from their military service. Veterans for Diversity and Healing Warrior Hearts did a comemoration ceremony at the July graduation in honor of Joe.
 
For nearly 35 years, the Cream City Foundation’s mission has been to  mobilize philanthropic resources by harnessing the pride, passion, and commitment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their allies to advance the human rights and respond to the human needs of LGBTQ+ people in Southeastern Wisconsin. Cream City Foundation has been very generous through the years with funding for our programs.
 
The Indian Summer Festival was the brainchild of a Milwaukee Police Officer and came into being through the hard work of 10-15 people who formed the first Board in 1985.  In the summer of 1985, then Milwaukee Police Officer Lawrence “Butch” Roberts , Oneida, was assigned to work at the ethnic festivals at the Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds).  Indian Summer Festival as well as supplying a booth at no charge also gives our volunteers tickets to the festival and food tickets while they are working at the festival.
   

UWM Foundation, Inc. / MAVRC

Opened in November of 2012, the Military and Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC) works to address the challenges faced by current and former service members and contribute towards 100% of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s (UWM) student veterans earning their college degree, and completing successful transitions into the civilian workplace.
